Dr Sonja Blainey MBBS (UNSW) FRACGP Dip CH has worked in Ultimo for over 20 years. Dr Blainey offers experience in general practice medicine  with a special interest in immunisation, preventative child and family care, aged care, travel medicine, and chronic disease management including diabetes. Dr Blainey conducts antenatal shared care for pregnancy, and has interest in sexual health, reproductive heath and women’s health, and is able to provide contraceptive implants and IUDs.

Dr John Cosgriff is a New Zealand medical graduate who has lived in Sydney for eight years and has Fellowships of both the Australian and NZ Colleges of General Practitioners. His interests are in all areas of family medicine, but has particular interests and experience in mental health and men’s health. Dr Cosgriff is also a shared care antenatal provider.

Dr Lesley Peter is a graduate of the University of Sydney and also holds a master of Public Health Degree. She has worked in the Glebe area for over 20 years and believes in the value of continuing care to individuals and families. Dr Peter has experience in all areas of general practice including chronic disease management and mental health. She is also an antenatal shared care provider with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Tim Shortus graduated with a medical degree from the University of Sydney with first class honours, and holds a Master of Public Health degree and PhD from UNSW. He is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer with the Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity at UNSW, and is actively involved in general practice education and research. Dr Shortus has been at Broadway General Practice since 2004 and enjoys all aspects of general practice, including but not limited to shared antenatal care, mental health care and care of chronic illness, and he believes strongly in the value of providing continuing, whole-person care to individuals and families.

Dr Thet Naing Soe is an Australian trained General Practitioner. Dr Soe holds a master of paediatric medicine from the University of Sydney. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine. His special interests include child health, sexual health, chronic disease management, geriatric medicine and mental health.

Dr Clair Ancher studied Medicine at the University of Newcastle and has worked in South Western and South Eastern Sydney as a Doctor since 2004. Dr Ancher has been a Fellow of General Practice since 2015 and has special interests in child health, women’s health, preventative medicine and travel health. She previously worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital for 2 years where she was enrolled in paediatrics before realising her preference was general practice. Before studying medicine, Dr Ancher completed an architecture degree at the University of Sydney.

Dr Asha Nair obtained her basic medical degrees from India & London. She also has a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecologists in London. She has a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Singapore. Dr Nair is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She also has a certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland.

Dr Nair has experience working in London, Singapore and Australia where she has worked since 1991. She is a very experienced General Practitioner, with special interests in internal medicine, gynaecology, mental health, community geriatrics, and chronic disease management (particularly diabetes and hypertension). Dr Nair is happy to consult any aspects of family medicine.

Dr Maria Li is an Australian graduate who has completed her Fellowship (postgraduate studies) in general practice in 1995. She has been working in this area for more than 20 years and covers all aspects of general practice including preventative medicine, adult and elderly people’s healthcare, travel medicine, and managing chronic diseases.

Dr Fei Zhou graduated with a medical degree in Shanghai, CHINA. He holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney. Dr Zhou is an Australian trained General Practitioner and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has delivered high standards of healthcare to the communities with an evidence-based approach. His interests are in all areas of general practice, including men’s health, paediatrics, chronic disease management, aged care, mental health and preventative healthcare. Dr Zhou is also able to consult in Mandarin.

Dr Akshay Kaushal is an experienced male GP who completed his medical degree in 2015 from James Cook University in Queensland. After obtaining extensive hospital experience, he moved to Sydney to embark on his journey as a General Practitioner. Dr Kaushal enjoys all aspects of General Practice and believes in holistic healthcare. His areas of special interest include: Chronic Disease Management, Men’s Health, Mental Health and Preventative Medicine. Dr Kaushal is fluent in English and Hindi.

Dr Mark Lenthen is a general practitioner with particular interests in mental health as well as men’s health, women’s health, and children’s health. He performs skin cancer checks and contraceptive hormone rod insertions/removals. He has completed a Diploma in Child Health, Certificate in Family Planning & Reproductive Health and the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Training. Dr Lenthen has been practising at Broadway General Practice since 2005.

Dr Evie Tonkin completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2014. After graduating, she worked at Nepean Hospital and then Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, before training in general practice. She was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health, and Focussed Psychological Strategies skills training, and has a broad range of clinical interests.

Sharon Liang is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2018 with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) and has been active in private practice with both dietetics and practice management.

Sharon can assist her patients with any nutritional and dietary concerns including weight management, weight loss, metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, nutrition for seniors/elderly, malnutrition, IBS/gut symptoms, bloating, food allergies and intolerances, chronic health conditions and chronic disease management/TCA/EPC.

Sonette Sudweeks qualified in South Africa as a clinical psychologist before immigrating to Australia in 2001. Sonette has been the head of the allied health team in the mental health unit of Ramsay’s Joondalup Health Campus in Perth for 6 years. Sonette had worked in various private practices in WA and NSW. She has extensive experience in working with patients with anxiety, depression (mood disorders), stress management, trauma and ptsd, relationship and couples therapy, grief and loss, anger management, sexuality related issues, personality disorders, eating disorders and substance abuse.
